Background of Alice

Alice Zuberg is an Artificial Intelligence from the Underworld in the anime and light novel series Sword Art Online. After breaking a law from the Taboo Index, she had her memories sealed and was forced to become an Integrity Knight named “Alice Synthesis Thirty.” As an Integrity Knight, she wields the Fragrant Olive Sword (alternatively known as the Osmanthus Blade).

The Fragant Olive Sword came from a fragrant olive tree in Centoria. This tree was created by the Goddess Stacia as the first “immortal” object, thus making the sword have the same attributes. It is a longsword of dazzling gold color, with the sword guard having a cross-shape flower design.
